Pat 2nd December 2019

When I read the family memories, I realised there was so much that I didn't know about my brother. I went abroad to lead a new life when Martin was 15, and so saw one another on a handful of occasions over the next 50 years. When Martin and Maureen came to Nanaimo to celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary, I had written to my parents to say that I really didn't know Martin, and about the same time he had said the same thing about me. My mother told both of us that we would find a loving, caring sibling. She was so right. Although we had grown apart over the years, he is still my little brother. His last words to me earlier this year were, " Now, Pat, no tears. I will see you sometime, somewhere. " Au Revoir Martin. Love Pat
